Shipping Terms & Conditions


Our promise is simple. You’ve invested in your rifle system and we aim to make that return on your investment many times over with success and satisfaction in your long range pursuits. If you are not delighted in every way with your Custom Rifle System, we want to hear about it. We are your companion for life in the Pursuit of Long Range Excellence.

Your Rifle is warranted to be free of manufacturer’s defects in materials and workmanship for the period of 1 year from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, Backcountry Custom Rifles will, at its sole discretion, correct any manufacturer’s defect in the firearm through repair or replacement with the same or comparable part or model. Ordinary wear and tear, damage from excessive or unintended use, or issues due to neglect, or accident are not considered a defect, and are not covered under our warranty. Products listed on the website will be shipped within 7 to 10 business days via USPS, or UPS ground shipping, depending on inventory and availability. Methods of shipping are by the choice of Backcountry Custom Rifles, LLC. Custom Rifles systems when ordered are completed and range tested within 6 to 8 months. We recommend you purchase our "SKB" hard-sided rifle case to ship your firearm to your location. This will allow you the flexibility to have this hard-sided case available for all future hunts, firearm storage, or airline transporting per TSA firearm's regulations.


Shipping cost is $19.50 on parts orders totaling up to $499.99. Parts Orders totaling $500.00 or more require shipping cost at $35.00. Custom Rifle systems can vary significantly in price and weights, and are shipped and packaged at a base cost of $125.00. The cost of Insurance is extra, and will need to be purchased in addition at cost of $3.00 per $100.00 worth of value. It is the buyer(s) full responsibility to purchase the extra insurance to protect your contents, if you want insurance on your package. You can find this insurance option under useful links, and in the product menu.

Our shipping department will package your items in a secure box and guarantee your items will be in perfect condition when you receive them. However, there is no guarantee you will receive them if the US Postal Service, FedEx or UPS looses your package. You will be out the entire cost of the packaged item(s). We urge you and recommend you purchase enough insurance to cover your entire package cost of items being shipped. Once your package is shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking numbers, as long as you provide an email address during check out.

You can purchase and upgrade your shipping to: Priority Mail, Add Insurance, or Add Signature Confirmation, by adding those services to your cart at check out. These services and terms are available on the “Shipping Options” or at check out, with the option to add "Shipping Insurance", under useful links. We highly recommend insuring the values of your packaged item(s) being shipped.

Firearms orders will adhere to all applicable federal firearm dealer to dealer transfers, state, & local laws, governing the sale and movement of all firearm(s) transferred, and require the dealer to complete the buyer transaction record. The FFL dealer will search any individual's purchasing firearms, with a Criminal Background Check with the (NICS) system, and obtain the (ATF Form 4473), prior to releasing the firearm(s), as outlined by the ATF Guidelines, and required by all governing Federal laws and State regulations.


We accept returns on unused, unaltered products in original packaging with all accompanying manuals, instructions and accessories. If a product is defective, we will accept it with an explanation of the defect, subject to our verification upon receipt, and with accompanied RMA return form as approved by Backcountry Custom Rifles. Due to safety considerations and legal/regulatory reasons, Rifles, Actions, Barrels, Triggers, Bottom Metals, or Ammunition will not be returned for refunds.


Submit for an approved authorized RMA request form, to with your request prior to sending any item(s):

    • Once you've received your RMA approved form, remove all accessories from your case: (Slings, sun shades, ammunition, etc)
    • Do not send any return product(s), without first getting the approved RMA form prior to shipping any items.
    • Ensure your hard rifle case is properly secured for shipping with insurance on your return.
    • DO NOT send ammunition in the same case as your rifle.
    • Return the referenced item using the instructions indicated in your RMA form with instructions, and follow the shipping directions.
